NOTICE

 

There will be a public hearing and regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Cumberland on Tuesday, August 3, 2010, 7:00 P.M., at the Cumberland City Hall, 1356 2nd Ave. to consider the following agenda:

 

1. Public Comment period.

 

2. Consider approval of applications for Operators / Picnic / Peddler / Solicitor / Transient

Merchant and / or Temporary Class “B” Retailer’s.

 

3. Conduct a public hearing relative to reopening of an assessment for Curb and gutter along Elm street for property described as lot 6 block 3, J.F. Millers addition, tax key# 212-1288-46-000 within the City of Cumberland.

 

4. Consider a request to provide a special exception to 9.01 of the Municipal Code (MC) to permit use / discharge of bow and arrow within the corporate limits of the City of Cumberland.

 

5. Consider adoption of Ordinance #624, an ordinance providing for no parking on certain sections of Western Avenue and Hunter Street adjacent to the 3M facility, 1640 Western Avenue.

 

6. Consider approval of the following recommendations by the Cumberland City Public Works

Committee:

a. Consider if the cost warrants a proposal to excavate subsurface storm sewer material located at 1675 3rd Avenue to include such expense a permitting, excavating, disposal, archaeological and sundry other expenses.

b. Consider terminating the current building inspection contract relative to uniform dwelling code services of and between Alder Engineering Corporation and the City of Cumberland.

 

7. Consider approval of the following recommendations by the Cumberland City Public Safety

Committee:

a. Consider authorizing the ATV Association the temporary use of necessary city streets to access Eagle Point Campground and hotels on the North end of the city during an association event scheduled for June 2nd through June 6th, 2011.

b. Consider adoption of Ordinance #625, an ordinance providing for regulating smoking in public places in compliance with the Wisconsin Clean Air Act, effective July 5, 2010.

 

8. Consider letters and petitions presented or referred, new or unfinished business and future

proposed agenda items.
