NOTICE

 

There will be a public hearing and regular meeting of the Common Council of the City of Cumberland on Tuesday, October 4, 2011, 7:00 P.M., at the Cumberland City Hall, 1356 2nd Ave. to consider the following agenda:

 

1. Public Comment period.                            

 

2. Consider approval of applications for Operators / Picnic / Peddler / Solicitor / tobacco / circus / Transient Merchant and / or Temporary Class “B” Retailer’s  Licenses.

 

3. Conduct a public hearing relative to approval of a conditional use as recommended by the Cumberland City Planning Commission to allow a private lodge and club (American Legion post #98) in a R-2 one and two family residence district with location at 1225 Veterans Street identified as #212-1177-05-000 within the City of Cumberland in accordance with the requirements of 17.26,7.(J) MC.

 

4. Conduct a public hearing to accept a recommendation by the Cumberland City Planning Commission and approve rezoning of property located at 825 8th Avenue (Northern Lakes Community Church) from an R-1 Single Family Residential District to a P-I Public Institutional District identified as #212-8178-86-000.

 

5. Consider a proposal to resume planning via a suspended contract with Ayres and associates and initiate financing for implementation of the Second Avenue North construction project between Superior Avenue and Lake Street.

 

6. Consider letters and petitions presented or referred, new or unfinished business and future

proposed agenda items.
